McQuilkin Society

Established in 2018, the McQuilkin Society recognizes those individuals, families, and foundations who devote themselves to supporting the mission of North Florida Land Trust. The McQuilkin Society is a distinct honor that recognizes new members through an annual pinning ceremony, and membership in the McQuilkin Society offers unique and meaningful opportunities to support and connect with NFLT and our conservation lands. You can join the McQuilkin Society by leaving NFLT in your estate, donating land, or through cumulative giving of $10,000 or more.

Members of the McQuilkin Society can be recognized in up to three different ways, depending on the type of gift or support.

  • The Charlie Commander Heritage Circle

Recognizes those whose cumulative giving equals $10,000 or more through donations of land.

  • The Legacy Circle

Recognizes those whose cumulative giving is $10,000 or greater through planned giving.

  • The Preservation Circle

Recognizes those whose cumulative giving equals $10,000 or greater through major gifts.

All donations to NFLT qualify for the McQuilkin Society. You may designate your gift to a specific campaign or fund, or you may support NFLT General Fund or the Preservation Fund. No matter how you choose to support, your gift enables us to further our mission to preserve and enhance our quality of life by protecting North Florida’s irreplaceable natural environment.

Silver Spoonbill Giving Society

The Silver Spoonbill Giving Society was created in 2024 in celebration of NFLT’s 25th anniversary year and offers special recognition to those individuals, families, and foundations making annual contributions of $25,000 or more within a calendar year. This giving society is an opportunity for NFLT’s most passionate individuals, families, and foundations to be recognized for their generous support and become more deeply involved in NFLT’s mission. Silver was chosen for its association with durability, strength, and beauty. The spoonbill is the defining symbol of the organization and NFLT’s identity.
